Levi Strauss & Co. has appointed Jason Gowans as Chief Digital and Technology Officer (CDTO), expanding his role to oversee both digital and enterprise technology functions as the company deepens its tech-driven transformation.

Previously serving as Chief Digital Officer, Gowans now takes full leadership of Levi’s global technology stack — including data infrastructure, ecommerce, engineering, and enterprise platforms. The move consolidates what were previously two separate roles, aligning consumer-facing digital initiatives with back-end operational systems under one strategic vision.
Gowans joined Levi’s in 2023 after leadership roles at Nordstrom and has since led digital acceleration efforts, including AI integration and omnichannel platform upgrades. His expanded remit signals Levi’s commitment to breaking down silos and building a unified tech ecosystem to support both consumer experience and enterprise agility.
corpbrief insight:
Digital success depends on coherence — not just code. Levi’s is showing how integrating front-end and enterprise tech under a single leader can turn transformation from fragmented to fully aligned.
