Mattel has appointed Ken Wee as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, bringing on a seasoned strategist to lead global corporate development, growth planning, and M&A efforts across the company’s portfolio of iconic toy and entertainment brands.



Wee joins Mattel from Activision Blizzard, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and played a key role in franchise expansion and digital platform integration. His background also includes strategic roles at the NFL and McKinsey & Company, with expertise spanning consumer engagement, interactive entertainment, and media innovation.


At Mattel, Wee will report directly to CEO Ynon Kreiz and help shape the company’s long-term roadmap, including IP expansion, digital transformation, and category diversification as it continues to evolve from a toy manufacturer into a branded entertainment powerhouse.
