Hershey is beginning the search for a new leader of its U.S. confection business following the departure of Michael Del Pozzo, who had served as President of the division since 2023.

Del Pozzo, a former Clorox and Procter & Gamble executive, was responsible for overseeing commercial strategy, category leadership, and brand growth across Hershey’s core confection portfolio — including Reese’s, Hershey’s, and Twizzlers. His exit comes amid strong performance in the segment, which continues to be a major revenue driver for the company.

Hershey has not yet named an interim replacement, but the search is expected to focus on candidates with deep experience in consumer marketing, retail execution, and portfolio management. The leadership change arrives as the company doubles down on omnichannel growth and innovation across its North American operations.

corpbrief insight:

Leadership transitions at the top of a powerhouse portfolio are more than reshuffles — they’re strategic moments. Hershey’s next pick will shape how its iconic brands evolve in a rapidly changing snacking landscape.
