Starbucks has appointed Das Dasgupta as Chief Data and Analytics Officer, tasking him with leading enterprise-wide data strategy and unlocking new insights to drive customer engagement, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.

Dasgupta brings deep experience in advanced analytics, AI, and data transformation, most recently serving as Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Saatchi & Saatchi. He has also held senior leadership roles at Walgreens Boots Alliance and Viacom, where he led large-scale data initiatives focused on personalization and digital intelligence.
At Starbucks, Dasgupta will oversee data science, architecture, engineering, governance, and AI integration — playing a central role in advancing the company’s “Triple Shot Reinvention” strategy and building more predictive, real-time decision-making across retail, loyalty, and supply chain operations.
